In this world, all people using blog for different purpose.The word "blog" is contraction of "WEB LOG". it is an information web page that consists of discrete units called "post".
We go to back the history of blog then we can find that blog was use first time in 1977 by JUSTIN HALL. PETER MERHOLZ make it shorter form of "logging is web"in to weblog, which is blog in 1999. blog posts are very simple, shorter for writing. Blog can use for personal, artistic, academic etc.
The growth period:
In blogs 2000s were a period of growth for blogs. In
1999, according to a list compiled by Jesse James Garrett, there were 23 blogs
on the internet. The mddel of 2006, there were 50 million blogs report by state
of the blogosphere. Some political candidates started using blogs during this
time period. One important event in the rise of blogging was when bloggers focused
on the comments. Topic blogs were also becoming more popular during this time
and commenting directly on what traditional media was reporting.
The rise of Microblogs
and Tumblogs:
Most of people think of
Twitter and they think of microblogging,
but there are other microblog platforms that allow for a more traditional type
of blogging experience.
Tumblr was
the first major site to offer this kind of service, starting in 2007. They
allow for a variety of different post types, unlike traditional blogging
services, which have a one-size-fits-all post.
Posterous is another, similar service. Launched in 2008.Posterous allows
bloggers to set up a simple blog via email, and then submit content either via
their online editor or by email.
All
about is important but blog is also equally important.
There
are some important principle to compose the blog:

a point: one must have a clear argument or point to present.

Be concise: one must use precise language and
coherent syntax to make posts easy to read.

often: Blogs should be updated regularly to hold readers’ interest.

visual interest: Blogs must have visually interesting. photos, videos regarding

multimedia:
Multimedia plays an
important role in presenting your view point. It uses different audios, videos
and other. . It helps in grabbing more and more attention of the readers and
will lead. Blogs must have clear visibility to the reader. One must attribute
the sources. It should contain appropriate content according to your topic.
Using
hyperlinks:
Its very
important part of blog. Hyperlink create a sense of conversation, citation in
more informal circumstance, and demonstrate that you engaged with other’s work.
In the beginning of the blog, the meaning of the blog is explored. This blog also provides the historical development of blog. We are also informed about how blogs came into existence and how they were reintroduced by different people by time to time. We are also informed that how blogs became more important as far as political issues were concerned at that time and how blog became useful in media and other desciplines. this blog also explores that how multimedia can be useful in making the blog more attractive and how the steps of composing a good post are also explored which can be helpful to invite more readers.
